Large Pressed Flower Suncatcher With Stained Glass Details
This large suncatcher was a labor of love, and a mixture of the different kinds of things I like to do.
The top tier is a double clear glass circle, 6.75”, full of pressed Queen Anne’s Lace, Black Eyed Susans, and large Daisies. (daisies and blk eyed susans are from our garden)
The second tier is a stained glass Monarch butterfly, 2”x4”, that I hand painted and cured.
The third tier is a little stained glass daisy, 2”.
At the bottom are teardrop glass cabochons with bits of Queen Anne’s Lace in them.
The soldered edges are beaded in places, and all stained black and polished to a shine. The entire length of the piece is 23” (includes chains). All the chain is stainless steel. The piece is rather heavy, so please don’t use a suction cup!!
***All flowers fade. Keeping them out of direct sunlight will vastly slow the process. I purposefully use flowers that I believe still will have a pleasing appearance even after fading, due to design, or choices of color.
***Please do not submerge pressed flower pieces in water, but instead wipe clean with a damp cloth.
